About the Author R.T. Hirner stands as an example that no man is beyond salvaging. Saved as a teenager, he rose quickly in leadership and Christian education only to fall tragically into habitual sin. From hero to zero in a day, this broken and repentant child of God was shunned by his church, friends, and many in his own family until a faithful East Texas pastor and congregation chose to believe God and reach out to restore him. Accepting God's grace and forgiveness, R.T. began his journey up from the mire and back to the Father's business. Drawing on his life on the banks of the Mississippi, growing up on the farm, life among Amish neighbors, and extensive ministry, R.T. began to write. His creations are seasoned with the glorious highs and devastating lows of his own reality giving readers an experience in the depths of emotions. Since his restoration, Dr. Hirner has earned a Master's
