In the magical land of Arelelle on the far-away planet Lareve, mages of earth, sea, sky and fire face unique and mystical challenges, struggle against perilous emotional and physical chains that threaten to imprison each one of them unless they resourcefully and tirelessly break free from limitations, both external and self-imposed. They must free themselves from evil demon-winds, tyrannical kings or the shackles of their own human frailty. From a crystal-mage who must find the source of a mysterious sandstorm to a fortune teller who must discover her own fortune, to a lightning mage who must find a way to save her sister, this collection of short stories is filled with adventure and romance, mystery and intrigue and, most of all, the magic of the human spirit.
Editorial : About the Author
Rebecca Donofrio was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but raised on a farm in southern Colorado near the small town of Monte Vista. As a child on the farm, she spent many hours reading and learning how to draw and paint. It was only when she had just gotten married and was living in New Jersey, 15 miles from New York City, that she realized her love of cartooning was actually a love of storytelling and from then on she worked hard in honing her craft in between family life and working as a legal secretary for 30 years. She currently lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
From the "no readers under 18" label I was expecting a spicy, erotic romance story with a great alpha male/female character story. Must for outdoor enthusiasts!. This is followed by 175 pages that basically "plug" the standard when, finally, on page 573 you get to the JPEG file format, or so the chapter title says. In addition, the book includes recipes with fresh, healthy alternatives. This second installment of The Crescent Chronicles has captured my imagination and heart once more. Also on the more complicated pieces with many moving melodic lines some of them are omitted. Gone Girl tells the story of Nick Dunne, Midwesterner turned New York City magazine writer who falls in love with the Amazing Amy, a beautiful perfect little rich girl, and who moves back to Missouri after both he and his wife get laid off. It is clear from my initial review that the BOK does need to be supplemented
