The purposes of this book are (1) to explore and expound relativity physics and four-dimensional symmetry from the logically simplest viewpoint by making one single postulate instead of two; and (2) to indicate the simplest generalization of the Lorentz transformation in order to cope with frames with constant linear accelerations. The fundamentally new ideas of the first purpose are developed on the basis of the term paper of a Harvard physics undergraduate. They lead to an unexpected affirmative answer to the long-standing question of whether it is possible to construct a relativity theory without postulating the constancy of the speed of light and retaining only the first postulate of special relativity. This question was discussed in the early years following the discovery of special relativity by many physicists, including Ritz, Tolman, Kunz, Comstock and Pauli, all of whom obtained
Editorial :
Steve's book is a wonderful read for every type-A female around the age of 30 looking to create impact in business. (I was never that great a Lost in Space fan.) I absolutely loved this book. The Queen of suspense-filled romance novels once again treats her loyal fans to a thrill ride of intrigue that twists and turns through the Black Hills of South Dakota. 4 points concerning this book:1st.,his recollections of life in the "Company"are unparalled.I was at ABT but my association and performing career ended, forever,a few years before Robby joined.Still,I met him in the early 80s through my pal the late (great)Clark Tippet.Robby was then and I presume is now, kind, gentle, giving, and genuine.Truly a sweet soul, and if you read the book, you can find out how he got that way.2nd.,any one interested in dance as it is practiced in the "big leagues"should read this book.If you are expecting som
