This book was just what I needed to learn the Christmas hymns for church accompaniment! It is a very basic version of many songs, easy to learn. I don't like to cook or I should say I didn't like to cook until I began watching Pioneer Woman. The characters feel real and interact normally. It's why many people found the book more profound on a 2nd reading. And nothing is what it seems. As for herself, she strips naked both literally and figuratively.
Some truths are difficult to digest so it is easy to understand why, when the book came out in Australia in 2003, some found it too confronting though other victims of paedophilia inundated her mail box. And who wouldn't enjoy a book while picturing BT as the hero?. And he writes with a storyteller's flair, so it's more like a novel than a text--I was sorry when it was finished!
