"Lost & Found in Latin America" is the result of my extensive travels for pleasure, my journalistic work throughout the region, and glimpses at everyday life in the places I lived -- Venezuela, Brazil and Mexico -- and visited. I scoured my travel diaries, old photographs, and letters home to my family, as well as conversed with friends and family members about all the things we did and saw over the years. Over the years, I realized that most people have so many mistaken impressions about Latin America that I made it my goal to show how those stereotypes can be so wrong.
