[FYI - you can pretty much get the same information for free from well-known low-carb websites.] It reads like a first draft of a college paper. This was a really easy book to read. While I don't see Ayer as a member of heroic pantheon to be emulated, I do have a new respect for this most "sensible" public intellectual.. The last skills-based chapter addresses svadhyaya, or self-inquiry. I found myself landing firmly on the latter side of the fence, and despite its flaws, this title is one of my favorite recent releases.
The text is hard to follow at points; I suspect that the translation is a little obscure, and the flow through the balloons could have been handled better. Highly recommend reading these two books together. If that is not fierce, then I don't know what is!
I also liked seeing how all the other characters are doing. Most of the topics are better explained
